KWAM1 Wasiu Ayinde held by Police for hours over shooting of University student!

Wasiu Ayinde interrogated by Police

I am surprised this case had shown it's face again.I remember Wasiu Ayinde releasing a statement to the effect that none of his band boys were involved in any shooting and that they never heard or saw anything while at the show.

But now,men of Ogun State Police Command, on Tuesday, quizzed the popular fuji icon, over the shooting of a student of Olabisi Onabanjo University Ago-Iwoye, three weeks ago.Somebody is lying, someone knows much more that they are making out to know.

Musician KWAM 1, arrived the Eleweran Command headquarters of the police around
11a.m, was interrogated by police operatives attached to the Criminal Investigative and Intelligence Bureau for about six hours before he was released on bail.
The student, identified as Azeez Kofoworola of the Department of Business Education, was reportedly shot on Saturday, October 10 by one of the band members of the King of fuji Wasiu Ayinde, which led to abrupt suspension of the show which held at limelight hotel in Ago-Iwoye during a party organised by the owner of the hotel to mark the Ago-Iwoye day.
Further reports revealed that the Fuji maestro who had been invited by the Police for interrogation and had reportedly refused would have been declared wanted if he had failed to appear before the Police Tuesday.KWAM1 flew to London the very next day this incident allegedly happened.
It was gathered that the fuji maestro was drilled for close to six hours before he was released on bail after he provided a reliable surety on the condition that such surety would produce him anytime he was summoned by the Police.
The acting Police Public Relations Officer , Abimbola Oyeyemi who confirmed the interrogation , said Wasiu’s case had been transferred to the Criminal Investigative and Intelligence Bureau on the order of the Commissioner of Police.
KWAM1 interviewed by Police.
Oyeyemi further said that KWAM 1 left the premises of the Eleweran Command Headquarters around 5: 30p.m on the promise that he would make himself available for further police investigation.
It would be recalled that the student involved in the shooting, Kofoworola Azeez of the Olabisi Onabanjo University was said to have been hit by the bullet allegedly fired by King Wasiu Ayinde’s band boys while sitting inside an unregistered Honda Accord car belonging to an officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, identified as Hassan Afeez.
She was subsequently admitted at the General Hospital in Ijebu-Ode, for treatment.
I don't understand why KWAM 1 is the one being held for hours though. He did not fire the gun,the man who allegedly did is a grown man,why can't he be held responsible for his own crime? The only way i can justify Wasiu Ayinde's long interrogation is if he had willingly held back information. If there was an actual shooting and he pretended not to know it occurred.
The Nigeria Police habit of always holding somebody else for a crime committed by another is something i find really disgusting.I will give you a typical scenario,if they go to an address to arrest a suspect and he is not home, they will arrest all those found there. That is such a backward and ridiculous thing to do.Everyone is an individual,do your job as the police and arrest whoever is culpable for the crime, ika to ba se lo ba nge..It is the hand that sins the law cuts off!
