Among the shocks of the nite was Dean Ambrose retaining the WWE world title against the odds when he survived the challenge of Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns at WWE Battleground .

The fantastic main event was not the match of the night however, as that accolade went to a heated and at times staggeringly hard-hitting clash between Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens.
The longtime friends turned sworn enemies produced an incredible performance, beating the living daylights out of each other and writing another chapter in their storied rivalry.
