Why Gernot Rohr was silly to say Enyeama will come back to Super Eagles.

I have found the actions of current Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr, strange regarding the situation of Vincent Enyeama.I read over the weekend that according to Rohr,Enyeama will come back to the Super Eagles if Nigeria qualifies for the Russi World cup in 2018.What kind of stupid move is that?Even if this was your plan, how could you say that when you have goalkeeper Carl Ikeme playing out of his skin and having been the man of the match so many times for Nigeria already?
What kind of motivation will that be for him knowing that no matter what he does,Enyeama was coming back to the team for the world cup?

It was a really shocking thing to say and one of Nigeria's goalkeeping legends Ike Shorunmu has supported my opinion.
The Super Eagles Goalkeeping legend advised the new Foreign technical adviser Gernot
Rohr to respect Lille Osc goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama's decision to retire from the Super Eagles.Image result for nigeria coach Gernot Rohr

Enyeama retired from the Super Eagles last year after falling out with then head coach Sunday Oliseh, but Rohr has attempted to mend bridges since taking over the coaching reins and even suggested in an interview that Enyeama could return if Nigeria qualify to the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup. But Shorunmu, feels Enyeama should be left alone as calling him back might be counter-productive.

“There have been several calls for him (Enyeama) to return to the team, but he has insisted and his decision should be respected even if the manner at which he exited the international scene was not a good one,” Shorunmu  told Completesportsnigeria.
He should be left alone! The same thing happening now occurred to me when I retired from international football. There were calls from every quarters that I should return but I stood my ground, to allow other goalkeepers grow into the team.‎Maybe that’s what Enyeama feels as well. The likes of Ikeme, Daniel Akpeyi and Ikechukwu Ezenwa must be given a chance.”
