Meet the celebs who threatened to leave America if Trump won election

The victory of Donald Trump at the US election may see an exodus of celebrities leave America.
Trump has become the first non-politician to win the White House since Eisenhower in 1952.

The Republican nominee achieved one of the most improbable political victories in modern US history, despite a series of controversies that would easily have destroyed other candidacies, extreme policies that have drawn criticism from both sides of the aisle, a record

of racist and sexist behaviour, and a lack of conventional political experience.

Now lets see what these celebrities have threatened to do if Trump wins, and better still, lets wait and see those who will keep to their words,
  • Cher

The superstar singer has been Cher-ing all her feelings via Twitter this election season.  She wins the award for the furthest declared destination if the real estate magnate prevails.
"If he were to be elected, I'm moving to Jupiter," she tweeted last year.

  • Amy Schumer

The comedienne may or may not have been joking when she said she's bound for Spain should Hillary Clinton lose.

"My act will change because I'll need to learn to speak Spanish because I will move to Spain, or somewhere," she said. "It's beyond my comprehension if Trump won. It's too crazy."

  • Chelsea Handler

Like fellow funnywoman Schumer, the talk show host says she, too, has her eye on Spain.
But Handler's gone one better: she said she's already got a home ready.

"I did buy a house in another country just in case, so all of these people that threaten to leave the country and then don't, I will leave the country," she said in May on "Live With Kelly and Michael."

  • Barbra Streisand

The iconic singer may be headed down under. Streisand told "60 Minutes" in Australia that she was worried about the election results.

"I'm either coming to your country, if you'll let me in, or Canada," she said.

  • Lena Dunham

The "Girls" star seemed pretty firm in her assertion at the Matrix Awards in April that she is Vancouver-bound should Trump win.

"I know a lot of people have been threatening to do this, but I really will," she said.

  • Ne Yo

The singer said he's planning to kick it with buddy (and Canadian) rapper Drake if Clinton loses.

"I'm moving to Canada straight away," he told TMZ. "Me and Drake gonna be neighbors if Donald Trump becomes president."
  • Samuel L. Jackson

While promoting "The Hateful Eight," Samuel L. Jackson told Jimmy Kimmel that in the wake of a Trump victory he would "move my black ass to South Africa."

  • Miley Cyrus

Trump's Super Tuesday victory in the primaries left Miley Cyrus distraught. She hasn't said where she'll go, but promised on Instagram that "I am moving if this is my president! I don't say things I don't mean!"

  • Jon Stewart

If Cher does get a SpaceX flight to another planet, she might have Jon Stewart as her window-seat buddy, as he joked to People Magazine that he “would consider getting in a rocket and going to another planet, because clearly this planet’s gone bonkers.”

  • Al Sharpton

Al Sharpton said in February that he had "reserved his ticket" to leave if Trump won and that he would support anyone necessary to beat him.

I doubt if these celebrities threatening to leave America actually will. The truth of the matter is,deep down nobody thought this could become a reality. Now the bad dream has come true.Trump was a man who won against all odds. Here was a man who five living former US Presidents & their wives didn't support and still won.It must be the biggest fluke in history, but hey,sh*t happens.
