Why Miesha Tate retired after shock defeat to Raquel Pennington at UFC 205

Ex Champion Miesha Tate retirement after her defeat to Raquel Pennington at the UFC 205 confirms all good things come to an end.
The crowd favourite was gonna use victory against Raquel to get another shot at the title. But sadly she was below par in every aspect at the Madison Square Garden fight.More damning was the fact that this was her second successive defeat. She lost her bantamweight title in her last fight also which was in July, hence her enforced decision to retire,i guess she felt there was nowhere else to go.

Raquel Pennington was a winner on all the judges' cards and will now target the winner of Amanda Nunes' first title defence against another legend, the immensely popular Ronda Rousey at UFC 207 on December 30.

The 30 year old American mixed martial artist, won the title in Las Vegas in March with a
stunning final-round victory over Holly Holm but was dethroned four months later by Nunes.
Her record stands at 18-7 in mixed martial arts and 5-4 in the UFC.
Announcing her retirement at the ufc 205 post fight press conference,She said: "I'm announcing my retirement tonight. It's not my time, I had a lot more to give but I had to pull it out of myself. I love this sport, thank you but this is it for me."

She hasn't done too badly for herself financially.Miesha Tate net worth is $2m and i am sure now that she is retired, other avenues will open up for her to go on and make more money. But something tells me this is quite not over yet.
