  • Marvin Gaye&Robin Thicke settle copyright war.

Marvin Gaye copyright-Some of you will very well remember that back in August R&B singer Robin Thicke, producer Pharrell Williams and rapper T.I. filed a pre-emptive lawsuit against the Estate of Marvin Gaye to prevent the Estate from suing the trio over their copying of music from Marvin Gaye's 1977 hit single 'Got to Give It Up' for last summer's smash hit 'Blurred Lines'.Well  looks like they have finally seen sense as Robin, Pharrell, T.I. and Sony have decided to back down...

According to reports The Estate of Marvin Gaye and publishing company Sony/ATV have settled their dueling lawsuits for an undisclosed amount.
Robin Thicke had earlier offered a six figure fee to Marvin Gaye Estate and the family which they turned down.

The first time i heard the song Blurred,i immediately though of the Marvin Gaye smash Gotto Give it up..and it is remarkable how Robin Thicke and his crew tried to bluff their way through the obvious. They should have done the right thing right from the start. Both songs will forever remain a classic though..thanks for the Music guys.
