A  former High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Dr Christopher Kolade, says Nigeria is
under siege following Boko Haram killings. Speaking at an interdenominational World Day of prayer held under the theme, “Streams in the Desert”, organised by The Salvation Army, Shomolu, Lagos, Kolade said, “I can say without any doubt that Nigeria in which I was born and in which I grew up as a child is far better than what it is today, but the Lord has revealed to me that Nigeria’s problems are not beyond His power.”

He stated that enormous resources abound in the country for which we should have no problems. “Other  countries are struggling with earthquakes, tornadoes and many other natural disasters, but God has exempted us. But with all the resources, what are the results? You and I are under siege from various  directions. If it is Boko Haram today, it is Niger Delta militants tomorrow.”
Gloria Iwuamadi, Chairperson of the occasion, in her speech, encouraged women to pray for the nation as they are closer to God.
It's ok for all these old timers to make all these diagnosis of Nigeria's problem .But i'm afraid Dr Christopher Kolade is part of the problem in Nigeria and Africa today! In fact they are responsible for most of the wahala.I have known of this man since i was in primary school, and i promise you tha was a while ago.If i wasn't a lady i would have revealed my true age here so ypu know how far back. Now Dr Kolade is 82 years old and as of a few years ago he still held official office in the govt.As of two years ago he was also appointed to a post by the President. For all i know he still holds that post. Now when men in their 70s and 80s refuse to give up power for the young to come in and introduce fresh and progressive ideas, how can the country flourish and move forward? These men are all selfish and love their pockets more than they love or care for the country!
