  • Lessons from the Nigeria Bosnia match

What did we learn from the Super Eagles of Nigeria vs Bosnia game?
Fantastic performance by the Super Eagles of Nigeria today,it wasn't our best performance but at least they showed a bit more determination, tactical awareness and discipline than the last game.
Somebody must have had a word in Keshi's ears as well because he was off his bench from the 1st minute! Thats what we like to see..a bit of passion,Somebody must have had a word with him..Super Eagles could have got more goals as well on another day but we still take the victory. Now the Super Eagles of Nigeria will probably meet France in the next round.A team that is on fire along with Holland. To avoid them Super Eagles will have to beat Argentina in the next match. We owe the Argentines one..they have beaten us too many times on the world stage.
I wonder if Keshi still thinks Odemwingie should not be in the team..if he didn't play well as he suggested last time, why was he starting today? I am so glad to see Odemwingie back in the team and it's nice to see Emenike back with his aggressive style again..Mikel Obi was much better today..created a few opportunities and was mobile.
Musa should not be in the Super Eagles of Nigeria...the guy is so frustrating. How can Musa play and not Victor Moses? I think Victor Moses must have upset Keshi in the last game by saying something to him..can't
understand how he did not come on even as a sub for the Super Eagles tonight.
Onazi was good..determined and rugged..but he has to get his shooting boots working..he wasted so many balls firing into space. The one time he was on target he forced a very good save from from the Bosnian goalkeeper.

Emenike back to his old self against Bosnia.
Babatunde had a slow 1st half but came on good in the 2nd half,Omeruo was a tower of strength at the back for the Super Eagles..blocked and intercepted everything..i think he has to decide where his career is going,if Chelsea would not play himm,he should leave. He was absolutely fantastic today.
Joseph Yobo i was worried about, but did well today i must say.
Enyeama Vincent was the safest hands in soccer as usual..and after today he is the safest legs in soccer as well...I always feel relaxed when i see him in goal.
All in all we played too deep today, but i think that was the plan of the coach. The idea is to sit back soak up pressure and hit them on the counter..which is fine, but with that system the Super Eagles need pace upfront so when they break they create so quickly. That was where the Super Eagles missed Moses..Imagine Moses,Emenike and Odemwingie breaking so quickly? That will be bring chaos to any defence.Ahmed Musa has pace but he has no direction..missed two sitter's today..and when he runs he falls at his own shadow..Should not be in this Super Eagles team team!
Man of the Match?Hmmm..i think its between Omerio,Emenike and Odemwingie..i will give it to Odemwingie,I think the goal just tips it for Odemwingie..he was everywhere today and was like a playmaker..Odemwingie has more to come in this world cup.The most important we learnt from this game is PETER ODEMWINGIE should have never been out of the Super Eagles of Nigeria team!
So congratulations Super Eagles of Nigeria and coach Keshi and to Odemwingie Peter the man of the match!
