FAYOSE-Is the beer parlour best place to solve the common man's problems?

MAN of the people,Ayo Fayose, says he goes to the beer parlour every friday to see the needs of the common man.
So i came across an interesting revelation by Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti state, who says he goes to the beer parlour every Friday to meet with the commoners in his
state. Fayose said this today in Abuja while explaining to newsmen the concept of the 'stomach infrastructure' he initiated in his state, saying it doesn't only mean sharing of food and money to the people..
"I go to beer parlour on Friday to stay with the common men there. Governance is not church;  it is about diverse characters and you must relate with them as such. Christmas is coming. Why do people go out of their ways to be shopping or doing other things if it is not just to make people merry? So, I’m grooming chicken, buying rice, yams, plantain, and the rest of them. I am sure if I give it to families during the festive period, they will be happy. So, stomach infrastructure is a way of life.” he said
I understand the concept, but is the beer parlour really a place for intelligent analysis of what is transpiring in the community?Agreed ,the common man is most likely to be found there, but if they are drunk and cantankerous, how can you really get something sensible from them? What about the common woman?Does her opinion not count? The students?Clerks, government workers?I think Fayose means well, but it's like asking 10% of the population about their opinions of the going ons in society, there is still a wide sector out there that is not being reached.I hope Fayose cats his net wide, cos for me,frankly the beer parlour just does not represent enough people in the society to find out what they really want? Do you agree?
