Phylicia Rashad has come out to say she never said the dismissive remarks attributed to her when asked about the rape allegations of Janice Dickinson and
Beverly Johnson, the statement she was alleged to have said was, "forget those women"
“That is not what I said. What I said is, ‘this is not about the women. This is about something else. This is about the obliteration of legacy,’” the 66-year-old actress said in her World News Tonightinterview.
“I am a woman,” Phylicia continued. “I would never say such a thing.”
When asked to comment on the accusations that Bill is facing, she said “I can’t speak to those things and wouldn’t want to.” She did say that “what has happened is declaration in the media of guilt without proof.”
This whole Bill Cosby rape fiasco has to end somewhere.Bill Cosby himself, guilty or not is the architect of his own downfall. If he had issued a statement or said something right away when all these women started coming out with accusations,it would probably not have gotten this big and he will have more sympathy. But how can you keep quiet when tons of women are accusing you of a heinous crime such as rape? I can't and will never understand that..silence in my opinion is an admission.
