Tbilisi weather chaos as wild animals roam Streets after escape from Tbilisi Zoo due to Heavy Floodings
It was an incredible scene when wild animals including lions, tigers, bears, jaguars, wolves and other animals escaped from their zoo this morning after serious flood and are currently roaming the streets of Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia (a country at the intersection of Europe and Asia).
There had been a heavy flooding resulting from a river which burst its banks in Central Tbilisi after a heavy downpour of rain.
According to officials in the city capital, the flooding has killed at least 8 people and several animals in the zoo died. The ones that didn't die in the flood, are now roaming the streets like a scene from a Jurassic park movie.. Dozens of families are now without shelter after their homes were flooded and cars swept away. Thousands of people are currently left without water and electricity.The Tbilisi weather has definitely caused a havoc for its citizens.
As a result,some of the more dangerous animals had to be shot dead in the safety of the public,while others were sedated and captured by officials.
Security forces earlier have killed six escaped wolves in the garden of a Children's Hospital. At least 1 lion was killed earlier.Can you imagine if this had happened in a highly populated area? We would have been talking serious chaos and a terrible tragedy.
