Wizkid deal with Sony/RCA shows Afrobeats is really about to take off! I think it has taken off already anyway,but the leatest news of the Wizkid deal with Sony/RCA just shows the genre is the next big thing.
These tweets by NotjustOk's Ovie which state that Wizkid may be signing a mega deal worth a mind-blowing figure with Sony/RCA today goes on to pour more light on the happenings..
As we all know,Davido is already signed to Sony while Ayo Jay another Nigerian is signed to RCA.
Interestingly,Syo is not even a big star in Nigeria,yet based on his song Can i have your
number,which was a hit in other parts of the world,he signed a mega deal with RCA.
