Ubi was born on February hails from Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria. Franklin graduated from the Madonna University, he is a music manager, investor, event planner and promoter. He is also the ownwer of
instantpickup, a delivery company.
Ubi is the 11th of 15 children, he had his primary and secondary education in Calabar. Ubi Franklin got married to Lilian Esoro in 2015, the duo got divorced due to speculations of cheating and eumouree abuse.
The couple's marriage saga played out in public like a soap opera and Ubi made it public knowledge through his posts on social media,that he loves his wife ane wants to keep the marriage alive.But his wife had had enough and left.

Franklin once worked as an assistant to Julius Agwu before working with AY and other artists after which he started promoting shows. He became then Superstar Iyana's manager in 2010 before the artists released his hit single "Kukere" when his label expanded he signed other artistes like Tekno, Emma Nyra and Selebobo.
Ubi was named City People Music Awards' Music Manager of the year in 2016. He launched instant pick up in 2017, his laundry delivery company. He also Launched Instant apartments and Instant Ryde.
He was also appointed as special adviser on Tourism by the cross river state Governor in 2020. He gained controversy this year when he started speaking on former Big Brother contestant "Symply Tacha" who also called him out to focus on his many baby mamas and children, shortly after his third baby mama called him out for being an absent father.
According to Ubi,the Tacha problem started when she started sending him messages prior to her going on Big Brother.She wanted Ubi to help her get on the show and he claims he replied her that he didn't have any powers to get people on the show.
And this made him become Tacha's enemy.
He confessed on his live instagtam show that,if there was anyone he didn't want to see on Big Brother,it was Tacha.
She replies him,saying he wasn't God and her destiny is not in his hands.
Franklin knows how to make money and he made tons through his successful artists,Iyanya and Tekno.There was the famous public fall out with the Kukere singer,when he made shocking public revelations that Ubi who he trusted as a brother had gone behind his back to do some shady dealings by removing his nane from the company they had started together.
His ex partner strongly denied this,but even Tekno made some coded statements that signalled all was not how Franklin painted things to be.
