The Players of the Super Falcons received a well deserved $18,000 each, for emerging winners of the African Women Championship.I would actually have given them more personally,remember these players are not earning huge money at their clubs,but did the nation proud still.
The Nigerian ladies beat Cameroon 2-0 in the final played last Saturday, to lift the trophy for a record seventh time in Windoek, Namibia.
General Secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation, Musa Amadu, has now revealed their rewards which were handed to them at a ministerial reception for the team in Abuja.
“We are obviously very proud of these girls,” Musa stated. “For the group stage matches, the girls got $3000 each.
“They got $4000 for winning the semifinals and $5000 for lifting the cup.
“So all together they got $18,000 bonus outside their camp allowances.”
The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) President, Ibinabo Fiberesima also rejoiced with the champs!!!
