The ever smiling Courtney Dike,sister of Bright Dike who plays for Nigeria's Super Eales,caused a storm when she rejected $7,000 bonus the U20 Falconets were awarded for winning the under 20 world cup.Well,Courtney Dike has come out today to reveal the exact reason why she rejected the $7,000 bonus awarded to the Falconets for winning the world cup.Courtney Dike said

In her statement via the office of the media officer of the Nigeria Football Federation,the 19 year old Courtney Dike said, said.
“I would like to respond to what I have been reading on the internet about rejecting bonuses.I am delighted to play for Nigeria whenever called upon. I knew before leaving for the U-20 World Cup that I would not accept any bonuses.
Acceptance of prize money is against NCAA regulations (the division 1 collegiate governing body) here in the US, so that is the main reason for rejecting it($7,000).Knowing this beforehand, I still chose to represent the country because I believed the experience would be more valuable than the money, and I was right,”
Personally i would have kept quiet and pretended i didn't want the money lol,but i admire Courtney Dike more,for coming out and openly reveal why she rejected or in this case could not accept the $7,000 bonus money the other Falconets received for winning the U20 world cup.
I wonder what is happening to her brother Bright Dike actually,he was one of my favourite players,i still believe if he had been fit for the world cup,Dike would have offered us something more and we probably would have gone further.Dike had been injured just before the world cup,but he ahs since been fit,why hasn't Keshi recalled him especially now that we are badly in need of wins to qualofy for the Nation's cup? Bright Dike is proven and tested,why Won't Keshi recall him rather than some of the names that have been called who have failed to justify their call up?
