Murdered Senzo Meyiwa given heroes Burial in South Africa(Pics)

The South Africa national team captain and goal keeper Senzo Meyiwa, who was shot dead at his girlfriend's home by unknown gunmen last Sunday October 25th, was buried today November 1st at the Heroes Acre Chesterfield cemetery - an honor that is
usually reserved for outstanding figures from the struggle against apartheid.

There was a wonderful turnout for the 27 year old goal keeper.About 30,000 South Africans gathered at the Moses Mabhida Stadium to bid the goalkeeper farewell. The funeral comes a day after it was announced that a suspect has been arrested and charged for his murder. Senzo Meyiwa is survived by three children.

The way Meyiwa was killed is pretty sad and unnecessary.Meyiwa should not have chased those murderers over mobile phones.But i guess being an athlete his instinct got the better of him.The murderers as well ,must have recognised the national goalkeeper.Football is big amongst black South Africans,so i am shocked they killed him.I uess they panicked as well or where high on drugs.They must have been anyway to carry guns for mobile phones.
Very sad all round.
It's good to see he got a hero's send off..RIP Meyiwa.
