The hypocrisy of Africans and Halloween

Halloween in Africa is a No go area.
Nigerians and Africans never cease to amaze me.We give double standards and hypocrisy a new name and take it to another level.Take the case of Halloween. I have been following some going on's online regarding this.Anyone seen celebrating Halloween automatically becomes the devil to
Nigerians..Africans as well, cos i noticed many African countries taking the same stance.I noticed Stella Damasus who dressed up,well she had make up on her face, was given a tough time by some fans, calling her a devil or saying she is a devil worshiper cos she celebrated Halloween.Stella tried to explain to some of them, but frankly i don't know why she bothered.
Now Christianity, who brought it to Africa? The Europeans right? So they introduced us to this religion. But go to any European country yesterday(1st Nov) Halloween celebrations was in full swing everywhere.Kids were dressed up,going door to door and entertaining as well as getting gifts from people. The adults on the other hand, took to the streets and clubs, dressed up in their Halloween costumes and having a good time, some were even dressed as witches.
Now if these people who were the ones who introduced this religion to you,can be so open minded, and see the full picture, why can't Africans? Why have we taken this Halloween more seriously than those who introduced us to it?
We only tend to take strong stance with the meaningless things.I wish we showed more passion in things that actually mattered.Funnily all these people will watch their Nollywood films with the Babalawo's and witch doctors, that is okay, but not Halloween,lol...
You guys should chill out, have a coke and a smile!
