Malcom Jamal Warner speaks out on Cosby Allegations

Cosby and Jamal Warner in the Cosby Show.
Malcolm-Jamal Warner has given his opinion on the Bill Cosby ra#e saga ,but stayed on the fence with his very coy answer.
“He’s one of my mentors, and he’s been very influential and played a big role in my life as a friend and mentor,” Warner tells Billboard magazine. “Just as it’s painful to hear any woman talk about s3xual
assault, whether true or not, it’s just as painful to watch my friend and mentor go through this.”

Warner played Cosby’s son Theo Huxtable on the NBC hit The Cosby Show from 1984 – 1992. The now 44-year-old musician is up for his first Grammy award this year Best Traditional R&B performance for his work on the Robert Glasper Experiment.

“I can’t really speak on any of the allegations because obviously, I was not there. The Bill Cosby I know has been great to me and great for a lot of people. What he’s done for comedy and television has been legendary and history-making. What he’s done for the black community and education has been invaluable. That’s the Bill Cosby I know. I can’t speak on the other stuff.”
Warner’s the latest Cosby co-star to comment on the growing scandal. His TV mom Phlycia Rashad came to the 74-year-old’s defense and claimed that there were forces at work trying to “destroy his legacy.” TV sister Keshia Knight Pulliam has also spoken out in support of Bill Cosby.
