He also had been involved with the law many times as revelations that surfaced after the shootings told.Urbandale Chief Ross McCarty told reporters that Greene was known to "most" of their officers, and that police have been to his home many times.

The local newspaper reports that a man with the same name and date of birth as Greene has had several run-ins with local law enforcement, including an incident in 2014 where he threatened to kill a man in a car park and called him a racial slur.His daughter further caused more outrage by a message she posted on Facebook showing support for her father after the
shootings.
The daughter,Sammie Greene, posted a photo of her father to Facebook with #Scott’sLifeMatters after the shooting, and it sparked a host of angry comments.
“He was also a loving father grandfather and the greatest man I know. He was very very sick mentally,” she wrote. “Evil succumbed him and he made the up worst mistake. Now he will have to live with that for the rest of his life. But I will never turn my back on this man.”
“This poor man was consumed by the devil himself this morning. I will continue to pray for him. Along with the families of the officers,” she wrote.
I cannot believe how somebody can be so insensitive and actually post that message after those poor police officers had just been killed.
The officer's killed are Justin Martin and Tony Beminio.They Were Ambushed & Killed in Their Patrol Cars About 2 Miles Apart.Urbandale police Officer Justin Martin, was found dead about 1:06 a.m. after police had responded to a report of shootings in the area of 70th Street and Aurora Avenue in Urbandale.He sadly was seated in his patrol car when he was killed.The officers’ patrol vehicles were riddled with bullets. Police said in radio dispatches that it is believed a rifle was used in the shootings.
The second officer on the other hand, Des Moines Sergeant Tony Beminio, was fatally shot about 1:25 a.m. in the intersection of Merle Hay Road and Sheridan Drive.
Beminio was taken to a local hospital,doctors struggled to save his life,but he sadly later died.
He surprisingly later Surrendered to a Police Officer From the Iowa Department of Natural Resources Without a Struggle,because he had been considered to be armed and dangerous by the police earlier.He was arrested in Dallas County, Iowa, about 9:30 a.m. local time, about seven hours after the shootings, KCCI-TV reports.
A YouTube channel linked by multiple media outlets to Greene seems to show several videos and photos from a high school football game at Urbandale High School on 14 October, 2016.
Police officials would not be drawn on connecting directly Greene to these videos.
Scott Greene's motive for killing the two cops is unknown as at this time,but personally from things i have found out about him,he probably has some mental issues from abuse as a child.It is no way an excuse to go kill police officers but i am just thinking it might have invested hatred in his heart.He also made it known in some of his many posts on Facebook and Youtube that he hated the police as he believed they were abusive and protected blacks.He posted the following message on his Facebook page which suggests he had an experience on what he was talking about,see below...

He also was a racist,but that had no bearings on the killings as the officers where white.A message he posted on his Youtube account read-
In the comments of one of the videos, Greene wrote, “I was offended by the blacks sitting through our anthem. Thousands more whites fought and died for their freedom. However this is not about the Armed forces, they are cop haters.”
He once threatened a man in the parking lot of his apartment complex,and called him the “N-word.” he then told the man, “I will kill you.
He was sentenced to one year of probation. A probation discharge report filed in June 2015 shows that Greene received a mental health evaluation and “complied with the medication recommendations,”
