Eugene Levy and Michael Douglas are two veteran actors that have been in the entertainment industry for decades. Michael Douglas was born in New Jersey in the year 1944 and grew up in a well-to-do family. His father was the actor Kirk Douglas, who shaped his son’s interest in the entertainment industry. As a result, Michael Douglas began a film career in 1968 and went on to create major roles in films such as Jewel of the Nile, Basic Instinct, Wall Street, and Fatal Attraction. He is also an Oscar-winning actor who won the Academy Awards for his work in Wall Street and for producing One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest.


Eugene Levy was born in Ontario, Canada in 1947 and, similarly to Michael Douglas, was influenced by show business from an early age. Throughout his high school years, he was involved in theatre and, afterwards, began to create massive roles in films such as Splash, National Lampoon’s Vacation, The Three Amigos!, and Multiplicity. Levy has won several awards including the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series, the AFI Star Award, and the Governor General’s Performing Arts Award.

Michael Douglas and Eugene Levy first worked together in the classic comedy film, The Beverly Hillbillies, in 1993. That same year, they reunited in the American-Canadian television series Street Legal. They then later worked together in films such as The Great White Hype andThe Big Picture, which won Douglas the Academy Award for Best Picture in 1989.They worked on other films such as Evolution, in 2001, and Stoned Age, in 2002, where a scene featured both actors. They also reunited in Saw IV, in 2007, and co-starred in two other films: RV, in 2006, and You Don’t Mess with the Zohan, in 2008. More recently, they collaborated in the 2019 Netflix film, The Death of Dick Long.
