Indian-owned Lacasera Company sack 700 in Nigeria & closes down business!
Protesters demonstrating against the La casera management.

Indian-owned La casera Company Plc has closed down her business in Nigeria.
Looks like your favourite drink La casera will be disappearing in Nigeria totally very soon!
Today over 700 workers were sacked by the company who described her employees as hoodlums.
The sack notice, dated September 14 and addressed to all members of staff, stated that

“as a result of the unwarranted breaking-in and invasion of our business premises on September 11, we cannot guarantee the well-being of our employees from hired hoodlums and their collaborators.
“As a result of this unprovoked act of vandalism, we are unable to continue operations under this circumstance. Unfortunately, we regret to inform all our staff of their immediate disengagement.”
Mr Idowu Adelakun, the state Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), told NAN that the act of calling labour officials hoodlums was wrong and vowed that labour would not allow the company to function until the matter was resolved.
Lacasera, a beverage company owned by three Indian businessmen started production in Nigeria back in 2000.

La casera drink is a big brand in nigeria.I don't think the Indian company can afford to close it down.I am sure it will all be resolved soon. But the government should do something about the foreign companies in Nigeria.Especially the Indians and the Chinese, they treat Nigerian workers with so much disdain and disrespect! Something you could not even dream of doing in their country!
