PDP stand behind Saraki in asset declaration trial.
Nigeria's politicians are a shameless bunch of people! Can you imagine a man being on trial for corruption and you are still publicly standing behind him in the name of politics and solidarity?The very least anyone should say is,until the trial of Bukola Saraki is underway and we see evidence against him,we cannot comment or make a stand.Are they inside the
man? How can any man know what the other man does? What makes this case worse is,Saraki is not even a member of the PDP.
The National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Olisa Metuh, says they are solidly behind embattled Senate President Saraki and that they are not shopping for a replacement for him.
"We have no candidate for the office of the Senate President, because we have a fit person occupying the position for now. We are behind him and we can’t abandon him just because he is undergoing trial. Anybody can be put on trial, but the question we should ask is whether the trial is political or not. Does the trial have merit? When we see the merit of the case, we will take position. But for now, there is nothing like that.”he told Punch
