Prince has dropped his $22 Million lawsuit against the 22 fans who posted his concert footage on facebook and some other sites.The lawsuit was for $1m against each fan.According to Prince's manager they dropped the suit because the pressure made the fans remove all the said footage..the manager commented:Prince's lawyer has issued a statement to TMZ explaining why the singer decided to drop the $22m lawsuit: "Because of the recent pressure, the bootleggers have now taken
down the illegal downloads and are no longer engaging in piracy."
"We recognize the fans craving for as much material as possible, but we’d prefer they get it from us directly than from third parties who are scalpers rather than real fans of our work."
I thought it was a silly suit anyway,but maybe Prince and his team took the action to highlight the bootlegging and piracy problem.Its always the poor fan or the messenger who gets punished while all the Mr Bigs and masterminds in the background make the millions and go unpunished!
By the way Prince,when are we gonna hear some new material?
