The Ten reasons why prayers are not answered

These are ten reasons why prayers are not answered.Every believer at one time or the other has constantly had doubts and asked God this question when whatever we are asking from him is not forthcoming. There are many reasons for this, here we take a look at a few of them and hope by taking note of these, your needs will be answered more times than not by our lord and heavenly father,Amen.
1-Unrepetant.
We are all sinners before God,and he does not want
sinner to perish, but to repent so as to have everlasting life. But when one constantly does against the will of God and makes no effort to curb their ways,it's hard for their prayers to be answered.
The bible made it clear that all have sinned and have fallen short of Gods glory, Romans 3:23. As far as sin is concerned,we are all guilty, but thank God for the perfect sacrifice of Christ that has saved us all unconditionally from sin and that has made us righteous before God.No sinner can get to God successfully in prayers, and a sinner is someone who rejects Christ or Allah as His Lord and saviour.

2-Not forgiving others.
The bible says"and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us".But a lot of us don't practise this, yet we want our prayers answered.
“And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.” (Mark 11:25)

3-Faith.
Faith can move mountains, when you pray to God,you have to believe that he and only he has the power to make all your wishes, needs and desires to come true.
“But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does.

Matthew 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

4-Ungodly motives.
Sometimes what we ask for is not really what God wants for us.The sinful things of this earth are not what the lord wants to give to his children.Would you give your own child money,if you knew he was going to use it to buy drugs?
“When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.” (James 4:3)

5-Disharmony is a marriage.
The lord said he who finds a wife, findeth a good thing.Marriage is a great institution that the lord created for us.To help and love each other.
“Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.” (1 Peter 3:7)

6-God's favour.
The lord's ways are mysterious ways, which no one can understand. He does as he pleases and when he chooses.
“I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion. It does not, therefore, depend on man’s desire or effort, but on God’s mercy.” (Romans 9:15-16)

7-Praying out of God's plan.
A lot of us look at the life of others and want exactly what they have. But God has a plan for everyone. What you are asking for may not be the path he has chosen for you.Your brother got a job as doctor and prospered does not mean this is what God wants for you as well. You might be the architect who is going to build hospitals rather than work in them.
So it is important to always say,God,if it's thy will, make this so.
” not my will but thy will be done” Matthew 26:39.
8-Fear and believing in the power of the devil.
Fear is the reverse of faith, while faith is believing in God, fear is believing in the devil or your circumstances. Fear is also faith, but faith in the wrong direction. What you fear, you believe in. When you pray with fear in your heart,God cannot answer you, because God only manifests himself in a faith filled environment. Child of God, do not let fear cripple the faith of God on your inside. No matter how tough your situation might be, you can overcome it by faith. Mark 9:23 tells us that ” If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him/her that believeth” . praying without faith is praying with fear and they only way to overcome fear is to believe the word of God more. You must learn to trust God more in prayers and you shall overcome.
9-Giving up.
One of the reasons we feel our prayers are not being answered, is because we stop praying. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 says it best, "pray without ceasing." Paul is more direct in Philippians 4:6, “In everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”
In reality, we should not be worried so much about if God hears our prayers – He does and He does care. What we should be worried about is if because of temptations, hard times, and trials we get discouraged, and give up praying. In Luke 18:1, Jesus, “spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart."
10-Idleness.
Heavens help those who help themselves,So the saying goes. There is no future for a lazy person in the kingdom, no matter how prayerful you are. A lot of lazy Christians everywhere thinking that prayers will help them. You see some believers spending all there weeks in church praying, instead of going out to look for work opportunities. The truth is this, prayer is not a substitute for work. Prayer can enhance your effectiveness, prayer can give you access to the top,but hard work and commitment will keep you there. A lot of Christians pray to get admission to the University and when they finally get there, the become too lazy to study. Laziness is a spiritual cancer and you must resist it in your life today.
