What Eamonn Holmes said to Philip Schofield shows how sensitive and unreasonable people can at times be.
These two are obviously friends and good workmates.This was why Eamonn was so comfortable to pop a joke with his friend.
Incase you don't know the genesis of the whole thing.Itv presenter Philip came out of the closet to reveal he was gay despite being married for over 20 years.He broke the news live on Itv.
He was distressed and as expected,his
colleagues were consoling him and giving him support.
Eamonn now steps in and says:
"First of all, I heard it was a big announcement from Phillip - I thought you were going to come in and announce you had resigned and I would get the job!
"But that wasn’t to be."
He then got even cheekier by insinuating Philip was getting away with stuff all along cos his wife knew he was gay.Here's what he said:
I thought, 'How come he can sit in a hot tub with Holly Willoughby and Steph [Schofield's wife] doesn’t have a problem, and Dan [Holly's husband] doesn’t have a problem?'"
People then went crazy..Twitter going crazy and the phone lines jamming.
